Amman, Oct 3, SPA -- Jordan's King Abdullah II haspostponed his visit to Israel and the Palestinianterritories owing to security concerns, Deputy PrimeMinister Marwan Muasher said Monday. The king had set no date for his visit, but his aides hadsaid it would take place either last week or this."The visit has been postponed for a bit, but notcanceled," Muasher told reporters. He said talks were underway with Palestinian and Israeliofficials to reschedule the visit, but they had not agreedon new dates yet. "The security conditions are not right at the presenttime,"Muasher was quoted as saying by The Associated Press. Abdullah is expected to visit the West Bank town ofRamallah for talks with Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbasand the Israeli city of Tel Aviv to meet Prime MinisterAriel Sharon.
