Envoy hails Saudi-Jordanian Relations 3 Amman

"Saudi Arabia's policy is based on moderation, balance, dialogue, frankness and stands for establishing fraternal relations on the basis of mutual respect and non-intervention in the domestic affairs in addition to exerting efforts to settle disputes through dialogue and peaceful means as well as bolstering the pillars of the global peace and stability," the Saudi ambassador noted. Commenting on the dialogue among the Palestinians to establish a national unity government, Al-Zeid said "we have been working to make the talks successful for reaching an agreement that puts an end to the differences and embodies cooperation". "The Kingdom ahs exerted efforts in this respect through the Makkah agreement," he said. He noted that the Kingdom condemns the Israeli aggression on the Palestinians either in the West Bank or in Gaza. The ambassador pointed out that King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz had donated $1 billion for supporting the ongoing efforts to reconstruction of the Gaza strip in addition to the continuous support to the Palestinians and to UNWRA to ease the sufferings of the Palestinians and lift the siege imposed by Israel on them. The Kingdom has been continuing efforts to intensify pressure on Israel to make it comply with the international resolutions including the establishment of the Palestinian state with Al-Quds as its capital".
