KABUL, March 21, SPA -- A suicide bomber in a car blew himself up ata police checkpoint in eastern Afghanistan on Saturday,killing four people, officials said. In southern Afghanistan, a NATO soldier was killed in ahostile incident, the military alliance said Saturday. The bomber attacked a police checkpoint where officerswere searching cars in Chaparhar district of easternNangarhar province, said a police spokesman, Gafor Khan. The blast killed three civilians and one policeman, saidthe provincial governor, Gul Agha Sherzai.
