KABUL, December 28, SPA -- A suicide bomber tried to attacka meeting of tribal elders and blew himself up near aPrimary school on Sunday, killing eight people and wounding51, officials said. At least five schoolchildren werekilled and 15 wounded, Associated Press reported. The blast went off near the entrance to a police and armyPost, said Yacoub Khan, the deputy police chief of theEastern province of Khost. U.S. troops are also stationedinside the outpost, but no troops were wounded or killed inthe attack.
