Paris, May 05, SPA -- French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner told his Israeli counterpart, Avigdor Lieberman, Tuesday that Israel must stopbuilding settlements in Palestinian territory, according to dpa. Kouchner "demanded the complete halt of settlement building,including that linked to 'natural growth'," the French ForeignMinistry said in a statement after the two men met in Paris. Kouchner also told Lieberman that there could be no militarysolution to the Gaza problem and that Gaza crossing points must beopened permanently to ameliorate the humanitarian situation there.
