KABUL, Afghanistan, January 29, SPA -- The head of Afghanistan'selection commission says the country's presidentialelection will be held Aug. 20. The country's election should have been held in thespring, according to the Afghan constitution. But AzizullahLoden, the commission's chief, says the delay is allowed bya clause in the constitution if a lack of security makes avote impossible. President Hamid Karzai will face re-election.
