ISLAMABAD, Pakistan, September 20, SPA -- President Gen. Pervez Musharraf will seek a new five-year term in a presidential election set for October 6, officials said Thursday. After Musharraf signaled his plan to resignas army chief if re-elected, the Election Commissionannounced that the ballot by federal and provinciallawmakers would be held October 6.
