Washington. Sept 26, SPA -- The GCC foreign minister in addition to the US state secretary and Egyptian, Iraqi and Jordanian foreign ministers issued a statement on Thursday. The statement focused on the importance of enhancing the pilalrs of peace and security in the Middle East. The foreign ministers, at the statement issued following their meeting on the fringes of the meeting of the UN's general assembly in New York yesterday, confirmed their commitment to work together and to intensify consultations as well as to work for the settlement of the disputes though peaceful means. The ministers condemned all forms of terrorism as well as extremism and sectarian violence. The ministers hoped that the commitments made at Annapolis conference would yield positive results as regards the settlement of the Palestinian-Israeli dispute and establishing an independent democratic Palestinian state that coexists with Israel in line with the resolutions of the UN's security council.--more www.spa.gov.sa/593443
