BRUSSELS, January 18, SPA--The European Union says itwelcomes Israel's unilateral cease-fire in the Gaza Stripand calls on Hamas to refrain from attacks, AP reported. EU External Relations Commissioner Benita Ferrero-Waldnersays the cease-fire should allow for a resumption ofhumanitarian aid to the region.
