Rice appreciated the leadership and new vision of the OIC in propagating moderation together with modernization in the Muslim World. She reiterated the deep respect of the US Administration for the Muslim World and Islam. She expressed her satisfaction over the development of ties of contacts and cooperation with the OIC, which she said would hopefully be the basis for further cooperation. The US Secretary of State shared her optimistic view with regard to the peace efforts in the Middle East and the need for their continuation, according to a press release of the OIC.
