KANDAHAR, Afghanistan, October 15, SPA -- A provincial police chiefsays 18 militants were killed after they attacked a key southern Afghan town for the second time in as many days. Assadullah Sherzad says militants attacked policecheckpoints late Tuesday on the outskirts of Lashkar Gah,the capital of Helmand province, Associated Press reported.
