BAGHDAD, July 26, SPA -- Iraq's political party leaders are beingasked to study objections to a draft provincial electionlaw and offer proposals within 48 hours. Khalid al-Attiya, a deputy parliament speaker, says theparties and various committees are being asked to help enddisputes that have held up the elections planned for thisfall. Saturday's move hopes to break the political deadlock andclear the way for the elections, the Associated Press reported.
