BAGHDAD, October 20, SPA -- A roadside bomb struck a double-decker busin eastern Baghdad and killed two people, Iraqi authoritiessaid Monday. Seven others were wounded in the attack, Associated Press reported. Iraqi police and hospital officials said the bus wascarrying employees of Iraq's Housing Ministry through the neighborhood of Mashtal when the blast occurred. The wounded were brought to Baghdad's Kindi hospital, saidthe officials. The U.S. military said the explosion destroyed the bus andconfirmed that seven persons were wounded, but said onlyone was killed. Iraqi police arrested one man at the site of the blast,said Lt. Col. Steven Stover, a military spokesman. Also Monday, an Iraqi policeman was arrested for allegedlyusing police vehicles to smuggle weapons to Baghdad.
