GAZA, September 20, SPA -- Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert will announce his resignation on Sunday during the weekly cabinet meeting, said Israel radio Saturday. The radio quoted several ministerial sources which said that Olmert could hand in his resignation to President Shimon Peres, adding that the resignation would be in effect as soon as Peres returns from the UN General Assembly in about two weeks. Olmert's Kadmia party held its elections last Wednesday. Israeli's ruling faction elected Foreign Minister Tzipni Livni leader and Prime Minister of Israel.
