COLOMBO, Sri Lanka, January 25, SPA -- Sri Lankan troops captured two Tamil Tiger rebel bases in the north, the military said Sunday. Soldiers seized the bases in Puthukudiyiruppu village inthe rebel stronghold of Mullaittivu on Sunday, militaryspokesman Brig. Udaya Nanayakkara said. Cases of TNT, some 4,000 detonators and barrels of acidwere found at the bases, Nanayakkara was quoted as saying by Associated Press.
