Srinagar, Kashmir, August 02, SPA -- Army troops marched through the streetsin India's northern Jammu and Kashmir state on Saturday after violentprotests over land for a Hindu pilgrimage site claimed two lives andwounded 21 people, officials said. The army was deployed in the southern Jammu district after Hinduprotestors attacked government offices and torched a police stationon Friday. Two protestors were killed in police shooting and 8injured as the protests spread to Samba town, police was quoted as saying by DPA.
