Washington, July 29, SPA -- U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice met visiting Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Kiechi on Monday for talks on President George W. Bush’s upcoming trip to the Beijing Olympics and other topics, the State Department said. No details were available about the afternoon meeting at Rice’s office, to be followed by a working dinner between the two diplomats. But before the talks, department spokesman Gonzalo Gallegos said Rice “looks forward” to the meeting. “We expect that they’ll discuss a broad range of bilateral and international issues of mutual concern, as well as topics related to the president’s upcoming trip to Beijing, " Gallegos told reporters.
