Washington, JULY 11, SPA -- U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice met Pakistani Foreign Minister Khurshid Kasuri on Monday to discuss a range of bilateral issues. Rice, who visited Pakistan late last month, told reporters during a photo-op that she intended to have “an extensive discussion of our broad and deep relationship.” Counter-terrorism, political reform, and the proposed sale of U.S. F-16 fighter planes to Pakistan were set to be on the agenda, U.S. officials confirmed. Another topic sure to be on the agenda: India’s recent test-firing of its longest-range nuclear-capable ballistic missile. --SPA 11/07/2006 11:47 ت م www.spa.gov.sa/374736
