COLOMBO, Sri Lanka, July 07, SPA -- A series of battles betweengovernment forces and Tamil Tiger rebels across Sri Lanka'sembattled northern region killed 20 rebels and twosoldiers, the military said Monday. The latest battles erupted Sunday in the Vavuniya, Mannar,Welioya and Jaffna areas bordering the rebels' de factostate in the north, said Brig.
