RAMALLAH, West Bank, June 16, SPA -- An envoy to the Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas says he'll go to the Gaza Strip on Tuesday to pave the way for reconciliation talks withHamas. Hikmat Zeid will be the first representative for Abbas togo to Gaza since Hamas seized control of the territory lastJune. Zeid says he has no plans to meet with Hamas during thistrip. Instead, he'll talk with Fatah leaders in Gaza, the Associated Press reported.
