CAIRO, Egypt, May 11, SPA -- The official Sudanese news agencyannounced that Sudan has cut ties with neighboring Chad,following accusations they supported rebels who attackedKhartoum. Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir «announces the severingof relations with Chad» said the headline on the SUNA Website early on Sunday. The announcement comes after hundreds of Darfur rebelsfrom the Justice and Equality movement clashed withSudanese security forces outside the capital Khartoum _1000s of kilometers (miles) from their usual area ofoperation in the far west of the country.
