Islamabad, January 27, SPA -- At least 20 militants and five soldierswere killed in clashes with government forces for control of astrategic road tunnel in Pakistan's restive tribal area, the armysaid Sunday. The militants captured the Friendship tunnel on the Indus Highway,which links North-West Frontier Province with southern and centralPakistan, near the tribal town of Darra Adam Khel on Friday eveningby killing five troops and seizing ten more at a nearby securitycheck post. "Helicopter gunships targeted insurgents' position in themountains near the tunnel last night.
