Tunis, November 16, SPA -- Tunisian President Zine-al-abdine bin Ali met here yesterday Prof.Ekmel-eddin Ihsanoglu, the Secretary General of the Jeddah-based Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC). Prof. Ihsanoglu briefed the Tunisian President bin on the activities of the OIC in the upcoming days, notably the Islamic Summit due to be held in Senegal next March. Prof. Ihsanoglu also informed the President that the OIC has selected 20 universities from various Muslim countries so as to work for their development and to prepare them to be among the 500 advanced universities in the world. Prof. Ihsanoglu reviewed with bin Ali issues pertaining to the international conference on terrorism which began its deliberations in Tunis on Thursday.
