On the sidelines of the Forum, the Secretary General met with Malaysian Prime Minister Abdullah Badawi, who praised Ihsanoglu's dedicated efforts to reform the OIC and enhance economic cooperation among the OIC member States. He emphasized the need to carry through all approved aspects of the reform. He also pointed to the importance of promoting trade, particularly in light of the global financial crisis.
