Riyadh, November 08, SPA -- The Custodian of The Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz will start on Friday a state visit to Turkey. The King's upcoming visit has great significance due to the special relations that link the brotherly two countries, their peoples and leaderships in bilateral, regional and Islamic frameworks. The diplomatic relations between the Two countries goes back to 1929 following the signature of Cooperation and Friendship Treaty. The mutual visits of senior officials in the two countries laid the basis for these relations and further cemented these ties in political, economic and cultural fields. In the Political sphere, the stands of the two countries are characterized by coordination, consultation and exchange of views as regards issues of mutual concern that serve the Muslim Nation's interests whether through several reciprocated visits of high-ranking officials or international and regional organizations and bodies. The two countries, in their capacities as indivisible part of the Muslim Nation, have been attaching great attentions to the fair Muslim causes, in particular the PALESTIAN cause for which both countries are exerting utmost efforts to support the Palestinian people and to achieve just settlement for the Arab-Israeli conflict, as well as their effective role in The Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) to serve Islam and Muslims.--MORE www.spa.gov.sa/497877
