London, October 31, SPA -- The British Prime Minister, Gordon Brown reiterated today that the current visit of thethe Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdul-Aziz to the United Kingdom, provided a great opportunity to discuss the challenges that require close international cooperation. He said "This visit gives us the opportunity to discuss new reactions to the challenges that we face today, such as the promotion of world trade, and the face of extremism and nuclear proliferation, conflict resolution and climate changes. These challenges require close international cooperation." He highlighted the bilateral relations between the two countries and their development and said Saudi Arabia is an important partner and ally in the Middle East and that the recent years witnessed the expansion and deepening of this relationship which is evident from a number of bilateral discussions in the areas of diplomacy, security and trade.--MORE www.spa.gov.sa/495278
