ISLAMABAD, August 25, SPA -- Britain and Pakistan have signed an agreement allowing prisoners from each others country to serve their sentences in their country of origin. Pakistan's Interior Secretary Syed Kamal Shah and British High Commissioner (ambassador) in Islamabad Robert Brinkley signed the agreement, said an official statement. The prisoner transfer agreement allows Pakistani nationals imprisoned in the UK to be transferred to Pakistan to serve the remainder of their sentence here. The British nationals imprisoned in Pakistan will likewise be able to be shifted to the UK to serve their sentence in Britain.--SPA www.spa.gov.sa/477336
