BAGHDAD, September 11, SPA -- U.S. troops killed six suspects and detained five Tuesday in its latest search operations, the military said. Armed men engaged U.S. troops with small arms fire, andthe Americans returned fire and also called in aircraft asbackup, it said. Six suspects were killed in a barrage ofgunfire from the air and ground, the statement said. In another operation, U.S. forces captured a suspectand four other men, the statement was quoted as saying by the Associated Press.
