Vienna, June 18, SPA -- An International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) team will visit North Korea in the week starting June 25, the IAEA said in a press release on Monday. In a letter replying to an invitation issued by the Director General of North Korea's General Department of Atomic Energy Ri Je Son, IAEA Director General Mohamed ElBaradei confirmed the team would travel to Pyongyang. The team, headed by IAEA Deputy Director General Olli Heinonen would discuss the modalites for the verification and monitoring of the shutdown of North Korea's Yongbyong nuclear facility. A team of IAEA inspectors is likely to follow after the technical issues are clarified, the news agency "DPA" reported.--SPA www.spa.gov.sa/459912
