BAGHDAD, September 17, SPA -- A suicide bomber detonated hisexplosives-laden car Monday near a busy Baghdad market,killing three people and wounding 10, a police officersaid. The 1:30 p.m. (0930 GMT) blast apparently targeted apolice patrol on the main street of the capital's Shiitedistrict of Jamila, next to a bustling marketplace. Twopolicemen were wounded in the explosion, according to theofficer, who spoke on condition of anonymity as he was notauthorized to release the information.
