ISLAMABAD, JUNE 11, SPA -- Pakistan's Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz and his Malaysian counterpart Dr. Abdullah Badawi had a telephonic conversation, said an official statement. They agreed upon the need for early finalization of Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between the two countries. The FTA, both leaders felt, would greatly facilitate the trade links and help share the economic progress achieved by the both countries. While recalling the historic relations based on common faith and culture, the two prime ministers stressed upon the need to further enhance cooperation in the diplomatic and cultural fields as well. They also exchanged views on the situation in the region as well as efforts required by the Muslim Ummah to promote inter-faith harmony. It was felt that the world needs to work harder to create inter-faith, inter-civilization and inter-cultural harmony among people belonging to different faiths to make the world a secure place to live.--SPA www.spa.gov.sa/457746
