Tehran, June 3, SPA -- The Iranian Foreign Ministry denies British Prime Minister Tony Blair claims of Tehran- Taliban ties as "baseless and shameless lies." Tony Blair yesterday accused Iran of arming Taliban fighters in Afghanistan in order to stir "chaos" and inflict more casualties on western troops. Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Mohammad Ali Hosseini, pointing to the West's failed invasion into Afghanistan and Iraq, said London's adventurism during the Blair years in Iraq and Afghanistan have led nowhere.
