The Dammam-based 'Al-Yaum' said observers agreed that Riyadh's summit was one of the most important ones in the history of the Arabs. "It is the first time that an Arab leader frankly talked about the Arab situations and impasse without hiding any facts as King Abdullah put the Arab leaders in front of their historical responsibilities to defend their Arab identity. The paper noted that our thorny and interlinked issues can be solved only by honesty and sincere intentions. From this point consensus on the Arab initiative, proposed by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques at Beirut summit and at that time was well received by Arab and international content, has transformed the Arabs from receiving proposals to making initiatives and defending them. 'Al-Yaum' concluded: " The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented in its popular and political leadership, believes that true Arab solidarity is the key to strength that would lead to reformulate the Arab policies without any abdication of rights or interests amid a world that respects only the united strength and this is what Riyadh summit has called for in its declaration."-- SPA www.spa.gov.sa/436939
