Lebanon's Nabih Barri hails King's speech at Arab Summit

BEIRUT, MAR 30, SPA -- SPEAKER OF THE LEBANESE COUNCIL OF DEPUTIES NABIH BARRI HAS LAUDED THE SPEECH DELIVERED BY THE CUSTODIAN OF THE TWO HOLY MOSQUES KING ABDULLAH BIN ABDULAZIZ AT THE INAUGURAL SESSION OF THE 19TH ARAB SUMMIT. IN A STATEMENT TO THE BEIRUT-BASED AL-NAHAR NEWSPAPER TODAY, HE SAID 'AFTER THE ASSUMPTION OF PRESIDENCY OF THE ARAB SUMMIT BY SAUDI ARABIA, I CANNOT IMAGINE EVEN FOR A MOMENT THAT IT WILL LEAVE THE LEBANESE CRISIS UNRESOLVED', HE SAID. 'IF THE LEBANESE PARTIES FAIL TO REACH AN AGREEMENT, THEN THAT WILL RUN COUNTER TO THE POSITIVE RESOLUTIONS ADOPTED BY RIYADH SUMMIT." BARRI SAID THE MEETING OF KING ABDULLAH WITH SYRIAN PRESIDENT BASHAR AL-ASSAD WILL RESULT INTO A POSITIVE IMPACT ON THE LEBANESE CRISES.
