The Abha-based Al-Watan, commenting on the clash of Turkish Premier Erdogan with Israeli President Shimon Peres at Davos Forum, said Erdogan has swept away the sight of the world when he intercepted Peres who stood at the forum defending the Israeli crimes in Gaza. This has made the Arab and Muslim world salute Erdogan who was warmly welcomed by his people when he returned to his country from Davos, the daily noted. The daily pointed out that Turkey was one of the best friends of Israel in the region, but the gap between the two countries has become wider due to the Israeli policies in the region. This incident has proved that Turkey at the time of crisis will not stand besides Israel and it will not hesitate in telling the truth just for realizing its dream of joining the European Union. Turkey, the country of a strong economy and strong army, will not fail to shoulder its responsibility towards the Muslim nation, it added. The paper urged the Arabs to move towards Turkey and pave the way for it to come back to the Muslim fold, and said Turkey has the keys for the problems of Palestine and Iran and other complicated problems.--SPA www.spa.gov.sa/631475
