GAUHATI, India, September 1, SPA -- Suspected rebels triggered a bomb Saturday in a shopping area in India's insurgency-hit Assam state, killing one person and wounding 12 others, policesaid. No one immediately claimed responsibility, but policesuspect the United Liberation Front of Asom, or ULFA, the Associated Press reported. Four of those wounded in the blast were hospitalized incritical condition, said Rajen Singh, additionalsuperintendent of police.
