Islamabad, June 10, SPA -- Pakistan has decided to become a partner nation in the Global Initiative to Combat Nuclear Terrorism (Global Initiative), Pakistan Foreign Ministry said. In a statement here today, it said while joining the Initiative, Pakistan has declared that it does not cover Pakistan's military nuclear facilities or activities. The sponsors of the Global Initiative have, with this understanding, welcomed Pakistan's participation, the statement said adding that Pakistan has therefore been invited to attend the next meeting of the Global Initiative, scheduled to take place in Kazakhstan from June 11-12, 2007.--SPA www.spa.gov.sa/457558
