THE TWO LEADERS REITERATED ADHERENCE TO THE ARAB PEACE INITIATIVE APPROVED BY BEIRUT SUMMIT IN 2002 AND CONFIRMED BY RIYADH SUMMIT IN 2007 FOR ENDING THE ARAB-ISRAELI DISPUTE AND BRINGING ABOUT JUST AND COMPREHENSIVE PEACE AND ENABLING THE PALESTINIAN PEOPLE TO ESTABLISH THEIR INDEPENDENT STATE WITH AL-QUDS AS ITS CAPITAL. KING MOHAMMED VI LAUDED THE EFFORTS EXERTED BY KING ABDULLAH BIN ABDUL-AZIZ TO RECONCILE THE PALESTINIANS WHICH WERE CULMINATED INTO THE AGREEMENT OF MAKKAH WHICH PAVED THE WAY FOR THE FORMATION OF THE NATIONAL UNITY GOVERNMENT.
