Stockholm, MARCH 12, SPA -- Swedish Defence Minister Mikael Odenberg andInternational Development Cooperation Minister Gunilla CarlssonMonday began a joint visit to Afghanistan, DPA QUOTED Swedish officials as saying. The two were slated to meet with Afghan President Hamid Karzai,members of the government, politicians and human rights groups. They were also scheduled to visit Swedish forces in Mazar-e-Sharifas part of the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF), andreview reconstruction and aid programmes supported by Sweden and theUnited Nations. Sweden has contributed forces to the NATO-led ISAF since 2002, andcurrently deploys a 365-strong force.--SPA www.spa.gov.sa/432067
