Washington, Feb 9, SPA - U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said that she support all efforts working on putting an end to the current crisis in Lebanon on acceptable principles from the elected Lebanese government. This came in response to a question by senator Josef Baiden during a hearing session held by Congress Foreign Relations Committee yesterday to discuss the U.S. state department budget and if the U.S. support the existing dialogue between Saudi Arabia and Iran regarding the Lebanese crisis. In response to a question on whether the U.S. supports the Saudi efforts in forming a Palestinian national unity government between Hamas and Fatah, Rice said that it is taken for granted that the region states' seek to find a solution for the Palestinian crisis and 'we clearly pointed out earlier that these are international requirements for any Palestinian government.'-- SPA www.spa.gov.sa/424126
