Nablus, West Bank, Jan. 18, SPA -- Israeli troops in the West Bank city of Nablus shot dead a Palestinian gunman in an early morning gunfight Thursday, The Associated Press quoted Palestinian security officials and paramedics as saying. They identified the dead man as Mohammed Ramdun, 33, an activist in a militant group affiliated to President Mahmoud Abbas' Fatah party.
