He also explained that as the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is convinced of the importance of activating the role of the United Nations and evaluating the performance of its bodies, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has actively participated in the efforts aimed at updating and developing the affiliated bodies of the United Nations in a manner that enables them to fulfill their required role. "In the midst of the UN reform approach, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia believes that it would be useful to link this with the nature of issues addressed by the United Nations and to take into account the effects of these reforms or changes on the effectiveness and performance of the bodies of the United Nations, especially the Security Council which is directly concerned with preserving international peace and security." He also said that there is no doubt that the introduction of some structural and organizational reforms to upgrade the performance of the United Nations and increase its effectiveness is considered as a need in the current era.
