JAMMU, India, Jan (AP) _ Two suspected rebels were shot and killed in a gunfight with police in the southwestern part of Indian-controlled Kashmir on Saturday, a police official said. A group of rebels, spotted moving through a denselyforested area near Gandoh village in Doda district ofIndia's Jammu and Kashmir state, were challenged by apolice patrol team. «The rebels opened fire and a gunbattle followed in which the two militants were killed,» said Manohar Singh, police superintendent of Doda.
