Berlin, Jan. 19, SPA -- German Chancellor Angela Merkel will meet Jordan's King Abdullah II next week for talks on the situation in the Middle East, dpa quoted a government spokesman as saying today. The meeting is scheduled to take place January 28 in Berlin, the spokesman added. Merkel is also scheduled to meet Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on the fringe of the World Economic Forum at Davos, which opens on Wednesday.
