WASHINGTON, Safar 04, 1436, November 26, 2014, SPA -- President Barack Obama will hold talks at the White House next week with visiting King Abdullah II of Jordan, the White House announced Wednesday. The White House said the military campaign to counter the Islamic State (IS) group in Iraq and Syria will be the primary topic discussed by the two leaders at the December 5 meeting. Obama and the king also are expected to discuss the ongoing civil war in Syria, which has caused a refugee crisis in neighboring Jordan, as well as escalating tensions between Israel and the Palestinians, the White House said. U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry met with King Abdullah in Amman earlier this month to discuss the same topics. --SPA 23:04 LOCAL TIME 20:04 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
