Jeddah, Sept 14, SPA – Representatives of Interior Ministers of Iraq's neighboring countries began here today a preparatory meeting for the third Ministerial meeting. The three-day preparatory meeting was chaired by Saudi Interior Under Secretary Dr. Ahmad bin Mohammad Al-Salem with the participation of representatives of Interior Ministers of Jordan, Iran, Bahrain, Turkey, Iraq, Syria, Kuwait and Egypt. At the outset of the meeting, Al-Salem delivered a speech in which he welcomed the participants to this meeting which is held near the Holy Mosque pointing out that the biggest challenge facing the Muslim nation is terrorism, adding that Muslims are usually accused of being terrorists while they are the most affected victims of terrorism. He also said that what really pains is that those committing terror acts claim that they belong to Islam so the enemies have used this chance to undermine our religion and defame it. He added that we all realize that terrorism does not belong to Islam in any way and that killing innocents and destroying the properties is Islamically unlawful by Allah's word in the Hoy Qura'n. He said also that we watch very painful scenes in Iraq on TV everyday, quoting one of the Prophet Mohammad's sayings that urge Muslims to be united as one body. Al-Salem pointed out to the Saudi initiative as regards this which supported and still supports the Muslim Arab Iraqi people to overcome this crisis and to attain security and prosperity as any other neighboring country.--SPA www.spa.gov.sa/389512
