GAZA CITY,JULY 3, SPA -- Three Palestinian groups that captured an Israeli soldier have issued a statement setting a Tuesday morning deadline for Israel to begin releasing Palestinian prisoners or suffer the consequences. The statement, faxed to news agencies, said: "We are giving the Zionist enemy until tomorrow, July 4th, at 6:00 a.m. (11 p.m. EDT Monday.) If they do not answer our humanitarian demands, the enemy will be responsible for all future consequences." CNN said the statement did not specify what the consequences would be if the deadline passed without action, and was released by the military wing of the ruling Hamas party, the Popular Resistance Committees and the Army of Islam. --SPA 03/07/2006 13:38 ت م www.spa.gov.sa/372992
