ISLAMABAD, PAKISTAN, AUGUST 5, SPA - Pakistan’s Lower House of Parliament or National Assembly has jointly passed a resolution strongly condemning Israeli aggression against the Lebanese people.The resolution was jointly moved by the leaders of all the parliamentary parties, officials said.The resolution categorically condemned the Israeli atrocities against innocent Lebanon people and urged the world body to take it up as a case of crime against humanity.It emphasized the need to follow the specifications of the Makkah declaration, which envisages the protection of sovereignty of all the member countries of the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC).The resolution stressed that no international peace keeping force should be deployed in Lebanon unless Israel completely withdraws its forces to avoid any chance of creating buffer zone in Southern Lebanon.It called on the United Nations to play its due role otherwise it will risk its credibility among the international community.The resolution appealed to the international community to mount pressure on Israel for an immediate cease-fire in Lebanon and extend full moral and diplomatic support to the people of Lebanon.The human rights organizations were also asked to take strict notice of human rights violations in Lebanon at the hands of the Israeli forces. --SPA www.spa.gov.sa/380829
