Senate affirms King Abdullah's visit highly important to solidify Saudi-Pak ties

Islamabad, Feb 1, SPA -- Pakistan's Senate (Upper House of Parliament) on Wednesday night, unanimously passed a resolution, welcoming Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz, to Pakistan. Leader of the House Wasim Sajjad moved the resolution, which said this House welcomes His Majesty to Pakistan and the people of Pakistan have the highest respect and affection for His Majesty. The resolution said His Majesty's visit symbolizes strong brotherly relations between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, who are tied together by links of history, religion and culture. According to the resolution, this House recognizes that the government and people of Saudi Arabia have given the highest importance to the interests of Pakistan and its people. The resolution said this House is confident that his Majesty's visit would further solidify the already strong relations between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. This resolution may be sent to His Majesty through the Saudi Ambassador in Islamabad.
