Asseri said the people and the leadership of Saudi Arabia consider Pakistan their second homeland. He said his country's relations with any other country including India will not affect its brotherly bonds with Pakistan. About the significance of the visit, he said the Saudi King was coming to Pakistan almost immediately after the successful holding of the extraordinary summit of the OIC held at Makkah in December 2005, and the far-reaching decisions taken there as well as the OIC action plan would figure in the discussions to be held between the two leaderships. The ambassador said bilateral, regional and international issues would also come under discussion with a view to finding equitable and lasting solutions of all conflicts. "Over all, I think, it will be an immensely important visit that will bring the two countries even closer," the ambassador said. Asseri said that one area where he finds there is enormous scope for further expansion of cooperation between the two countries is trade and commerce. "I strongly believe that the two countries have so much to offer to each other. The governments of the two countries have done a lot in terms of encouraging entrepreneurs from both sides to contribute to this expansion, but not much progress has been recorded so far," the envoy said. He said there is a vital need for the entrepreneurs and the chambers of Commerce of the two countries to cooperate with one another with an intention to finding new avenues to expand the volume of trade between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. "This will bring great benefit to the two countries."--SPA 10 27 Local Time 07 27 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/321544
